Vintage Machinery entry for Carl Pletz & Sons
Description:
Shortly after this patent was issued the inventor left his job at Aurora Tool Works to start his own business manufacturing machine tools. Within a couple of years he was the general manager of the Morris Machine Tool Co., and it is possible that this invention was used by them although that remains unconfirmed. During the period 1920 to 1923 he was on of the Sons in Carl Pletz & Sons which manufactured a 9-inch shaper.
