Description:
The focus of the patent is the formation of the handle to which an auxiliary power device (ratchet, brace, "T" handle, etc.) can be applied.

The handle appears as screwdriver handles in the PALM GRIP set produced by Kipton Industries. The palm ratchet and screwdriver also appear in a PALM GRIP set advertised in April 1950 by Firelands Industries of Norwalk, OH.

Some examples of the auxiliary ratchet pad shown in dotted lines in the drawings include Canadian patent numbers CA-522,892 (corresponds to this patent) and CA-524,280.

The specifications list patent nos. 1,314,012, 1,628,553, 1,724,491, 1,772,040, 1,986,374, 2,123,393, 2,378,775 and 2,425,611 as references.

The original application was divided; patent no. 2,672,066 was granted for an aspect of the auxiliary handle concept.
