Description:
Quick adjustment; a compression spring with adjustable tension works to open the jaws; a spiral grove on the shank of the movable jaw gives rotating movement to an enclosed "nut" with rack teeth on its circumference. A spring loaded lever with rack teeth holds the "nut." To adjust the size, the lever is depressed, allowing the "nut" to turn and movement of the adjustable jaw.

One fixed jaw includes an extendable gripping dog when that jaw is used for pipe.
