San Diego Specialty Works "SURE GRIP" Wrench
Description:
The action combines features of a ratchet and a chain wrench. Known examples made of metal stampings. Bessolo's financial shenanigans involving his early wrench patents were noted in a February/March 1980 American Heritage article.

The markings on the tools may be only loosely related to the patents they reflect. The wrench matching this patent can be found with a variety of markings includes dates and numbers from later Bessolo patents -- 1,008,939, 1,037,109, 1,086,127, 1,158,164, 1,318,047.

A 1913 American Machinist article describes the manufacturing process used for this wrench comprised of stamped parts.
