Description:
This is a specialized butt gage for marking lock mortises. It can lay out the lock mortise and strike plate mortise as well as the hinge mortise and hinge depth.

This appears to be a very well thought out and useful tool, and would have been cheap to manufacture, but is not known to have ever been manufactured.
