Description:
For the valve grinder function an inner pair of "segmental gear" disks provides oscillating and gradually progressive rotation to the driven shaft and chuck. The tool has provision for this inner pair to be spread apart from each other.

For the breast drill function, the outer "full circle gear" provides continuous rotation to the driven shaft and chuck. An adjustable "sleeve" with two bevel gears on the driven shaft is a component of the selection between drill and valve grinder functions.

To switch from valve grinder function to drill function, the gear disks are spread, the sleeve with bevel gear loosened from the driven shaft and slid so the "outer" gear on the sleeve aligns with the "full circle" geared disk, and the adjusting screws tightened.

Marketed as the MIFCO Combination Breast Drill and Valve Grinder.
