Description:
This tool wins the complexity award for butt gages. It features five (!) sliding arms, including two that feature 3-point mortise markers. It is capable of performing all hinge and lock layout for a door, including strike plates and squaring the sides of the mortises.

The three-point markers use the same technique used in the famous 1870 Kenny patent (98,504), where a rod is cut with both left- and right-hand threads
