Description:
In December 1855, an A. Kendall of Windsor, Canada West, was granted Canadian patent XC-570 for a shingle machine. We suspect that this was the same A. Kendall, and that he relocated to Windsor just long enough to obtain the Canadian patent; at the time, only Canadian residents could obtain Canadian patents.
