Description:
This patent and 1,078,919 were the basis of the Hall-Scott engine, of 10 liters capacity and manufactured in San Francisco. The engine was used in automobiles, trucks, airplanes, and even in locomotives. Built primarily of aluminum, the engine used overhead cams and valves and hemispherical combustion chambers.
