Description:
The movable jaw has a spring-tensioned depending shank with rack teeth; it engages with rack teeth on lever linkage within a casing. It also has a stud, which serves as a handle to disengage the rack teeth for size adjustment.

The lever handle serves to tighten the grip of the movable jaw through the intermediate linkage.

This is the second of four patents granted to Bessolo on this date. (The other tools are 1,319,945 and 1,319,946.)
