Description:
The screw adjustment allows for final tightening to address the issue of slack that troubled some chain wrenches.

The connecting pins for the chain links hook into notches in the toothed side plates.

The wrench appears to be an evolution from Bessolo's Nov. 14, 1911 patent no. 1,008,939.
