Vintage Machinery entry for J. de Beauvais
Description:
This patent specification spells the inventor's surname "Debeauvais". Subsequent patents rendered it "De Beauvais". Under both these names the inventor manufactured "Hand and Power Presses, Macaroni Machinery, Calendering Machines and Paper Rolls, Tobaaco Cutters, Granulators and Cigarette Machines." An 1876 ad says that he manufactured "All kinds of Presses, Rolls and Special Tools; New Stamping Presses, Pat. Jan'y 27th, 1874..."
