Description:
This refinement of Heaton's previous patents (no 160,056 and no 168,016) has a revised prong-setting die in the lower jaw.

Button setting pliers conforming to these patents were produced by the Heaton Button Fastener Co. & carry an Oct. 1875 patent date.

The corresponding button is shown in nos. 153,220 and RE7,193.

Improved by Franklin A. Smith, Jr.'s June 22, 1886 patent (no 344,012).
