Description:
Specialty pliers with spring clip and jaws shaped to correspond to two-piece "shoe button" described in parallel patent 17,219. The claims are shown in the second image.

The corresponding U.S. patents are no. 278,734 for the pliers and 291,534 for the button.

This apparently was an effort to offer an alternative for the widely used "HEATON" buttons. (see patent nos. 160,056, 168,016, 168,994)
