Description: |
| Crogan filed his US patent 1,216,418 in Canada. The text of both are identical after the first sentence. (The Canadian patent start with the second sentence of the US patent.) Canadian patents before 1920 are not online. I paid $8 Canadian to have this patent sent to me only to discover it matches his US patent! Crogan held several other tape measure patents though apparently not all were produced. Records indicate sales in Montreal and Quebec. I wrote an aticle on Crogan Manugacturing for the March 2010 Gristmill. |
