Description:
Claim:

The usual manner of riing a gun consists in forcing the helical cutting tool through the barrel by means of a ram rod with difficulty being experienced in the removal of the chips which are cut by the action of the rifling tool. The rod which is utilized for ramming the tool through the barrel is of considerable length and force to be applied by transmission through this long rod is at times unsatisfactory.
