Description: |
Parallel jaw locking pliers wrench, used together with design patent no. D143,941. The secondary link in this patent appears in the 9 inch version; the 7 inch wrench matches the design patent -- see the 2nd photo. Both wrenches are made primarily of flat stampings riveted together. The fixed jaw is a forged piece and the handle insert is red plastic.
The screw adjustment sets the size. 7 inch opens to 3/4 inch; 9 inch opens to 1 inch; 11 inch opens to 1 1/2 inch.
Patent no. 2,478,728 is a subsequent evolution and probably more closely matches the tool as produced. |
