"When is a ratchet not a ratchet" - papawswrench
Description:
The end of the handle is knurled, has a square socket, and a transverse hole to accomodate a rod. The knurled portion turns an internal shaft geared to the stud. The physical appearance is similar to a ratchet wrench. The wrench head where a ratchet would normally be found holds a bearing block and beveled gears. The gearing is such that a ratchet-like action can be obtained by swinging the handle while grabbing and releasing the knurled end portion. Or a rod, ratchet wrench or breaker bar can be used to "power" the shaft. Marketed as REECHET Pat. 2,594,669.

Also supplied as the driver for an AC spark plug installation and removal tool with three sizes of spark plug sockets and a 5 inch extension bar.
