Description:
This vise was written up in the October 1964 issue of Popular Science. The vise in that article has one straight jaw and one flexible jaw. An example was seen on owwm.org with two flexible jaws, as shown in the patent drawings.

In the late 1950s and early 1960s the E. W. Bliss Co. sold their "Contour Grip Holding Fixture" which was a basically identical vise.
