Description:
Self-adjusting nut wrench. This would have been very clumsy as the working opening is so small in relation to the overall size.

Ken Cope's "American Wrench Makers 1830-1930" asserts the St. Louis Iron and Machine Works produced the wrench, based on the assignment.
