Description:
The claimed invention is a "bell crank lever" which is secured to the side of the plane and attached to a cutter clamp. Moving the lever will clamp and unclamp the cutter. The plane shown in the drawing is in the form of a rabbet plane, but the invention is applicable to bench planes.
