Description:
Improvements to Kimball and Trainor's patent anvil, 172,271. Beginning shortly after this patent was issued, various hardware-store catalogs featured Austin's combined vise and anvil. But that item bears no resemblance to the combined vise and anvil in this patent, and so the search continues for the source of the Austin's combined vise and anvil.
