| The size range is expanded by the interaction of a spring-tensioned sliding jaw that interacts with gear teeth on the handle, and a pivoting jaw. The sliding jaw can be re-positioned in relation to the geared portion of the handle. Fine teeth on the sliding jaw and pivoting jaw help hold the adjustment.
