"My invention is intended more especially for tuning Pike poles, cant hook handles, gaff hooks and the like... and consists broadly of a gauge secured to a sliding carriage against which a small friction wheel, attached to a frame carrying a group of saws, is pressed by an adjustable spring thus following the curves on the gauge, a turning tool follows the saws and smooths off the rough exterior left by the saws..."
