Description:
Yet another patent that tries to prevent blade buckling caused by the upper (idler) wheel over-running the lower (driving) wheel. This invention is for a pair of friction-disks that provide a drag on the motion of the idler wheel.

The manufacturer is inferred from the fact that the inventor was the treasurer and general manager of Stearns Mfg. Co.
