Description:

My invention relates to improvements in that class of micrometer-calipers in which the measuring tool in use is held vertically by a portion of the fingers of one hand of the operator, leaving the thumb and index-finger free to operate the head of the calipering screw and it has for its object the improved construction of a device to facilitate its use in this manner. In the drawings, Figure 1 is a side view of a hand micrometer-caliper embodying my present improvement. Fig. 2 is a plan view of the device in vented, showing the handle folded.
