Description:

This clapboard holder uses a pair of points driven into the bottom of the previous claboard to secure the tool.

I believe the witness "W.F.Callen" specified in the patent papers is incorrect. The signature on the drawing clearly shows the name "Collins", so my guess is the data entry clerk mis-recorded the name in the patent.
