Description:
The socket halves are loosely hinged at the base, and a secondary spring-loaded lever holds the sides closed and also serves as a rein-holder. Known examples have "J I C" in cut-out letters across the base of the holder -- they were supplied by J. I. CASE, with headquarters at Racine, WI.
