| XC patents are Canadian patent sissued between 1824 and 1869."It consists in the inside and outside stave dressers in combination with the concave whirred rollers; in the pressure rollers; in the concave and reverse beds in connection with the outside dresser; in the halved opening in the stationary ring for passing through the staves, in combination with the projecting flange or lip on the outer ring in which the cutters are arranged; in the mode of jointing bilge staves of machinery barrels, and other bilge works by the employment of the swing frame, having a concave or convex bed in, or against which the stave is sprung and secured to the required bilge in combination with the rotary jointer and the sliding carriage, or either, whether the said frame for confining the stave in its bent condition or position, and conveying it to be jointed be constructed as described or otherwise; and, finally, in the apparatus for chamfering, howeling, and crozeing, and the tools, together with the mode of using them." |
