Description:
Draw shave with two bearing surfaces; one flat, one rounded with a removeable and reversible blade holder. DAT reports that "shaves ... were called the "Champion", but it is not known if Conover made them. DAT also reports that Herbert Lanfair received a similar patent, 508427, that was assigned to Millers Fall Co that apparently was well received, displacing the Conover shave causing its disappearance shortly thereafter. Lanfair's design moved the sole, while Conover moved the blade to achieve the same end result.
