The shape of the cover over the ratchet pawls appears in later patents related to the Lowell Wrench Company of Worcester, and ratchet wrenches produced by the company. Sinclair's Sept. 14, 1886 patent (no. 349,007) was assigned to the Lowell Wrench Company.
