Description: |
| Quick-adjust nut wrench with two spring-loaded pawls on the "back" of the movable jaw that engage notches on the main shank. In the patent, the pawls are different lengths, and are intended to engage two successive notches simultaneously. The longer pawl is "L" shaped. The effect of this is to increase the bearing surface for the combined pawls.
Known examples have no legible markings. The pawls have coil springs rather than leaf springs, and are equal width, with steps so they bear on different notches in the rack. |
