Description:
The patent describes the parts and of the head with central adjustable jaw and the sliding latch that holds the angle adjustment of the handle in relation to the head and adjustable jaw. A few examples of this design produced as an "adjustable angle, adjustable jaw" nut wrench are known.

Features of this patent reappear in Friede's Dec. 11, 1894 patent (no. 530,518), which was produced and marketed as the STAR COMBINATION WRENCH. Friede's August 28, 1894 patent (no. 525,318) and parallel patent (no. 525,683) also share some features.
