Description:
A swinging latch holds the two handle sections tightly together so their toothed faces grip the fine adjusting screw attached to one of the handle sections. This allows for quick adjustment as well as fine adjustment by the screw.

The specifications note the wrench had received British patent no. 19,328 on November 9, 1892.
