Self-adjusting wrench with an intermediate link between the movable jaw and the pivoting lever handle. The jaws are offset to reach beneath an overhang; the specifications mention application as a railroad fish plate bolt wrench.

The wrench was described as the GEISEL AUTOMATIC WRENCH in an item in an 1896 issue of HEATING AND VENTILATION.
