Description:
Compound leverage strengthens the jaw grip. The jaws could be configured as an alligator type pipe wrench, or alternate form as shown in the drawing. A spring facilitates spreading the handles to relax the jaw grip.

Corresponding Canadian patent no. CA-56,125 was issued June 4, 1897.
