Description:
This patent adds a spring to the hook jaw of Hall's pipe wrench. This spring tends to hold the jaw in the closed position. This spring feature appeared on some larger versions of Hall's wrench. The specifications refer to Hall's July 31, 1894 patent (no. 523,810).

Hall's other patents related to this wrench are 516,485 (March 13, 1894), and 533,295 (Jan. 29, 1895).
