Claim:

This Invention relates to improvements In explosive gas or vapor engines, and more particularly to single-acting engines of that class Sin which an explosion or impulse takes place at every forward or power stroke of the piston and in which is employed an air-compression chamber which is in communication with the cylinder and in which air is compressed at each power-stroke of the piston preparatory to its admission to the cylinder behind the piston at the termination of the power-stroke of the latter.
