Description:
A spring helps press the socket against the nut to be turned; the socket is turned by a crank and gear drive. The bolt holder and wrench socket are on opposing "jaws" of a tongs type tool.

Corresponding Canadian patent CA-63,152 was granted to Larson and Oskar John Davidson on May 27, 1899. In that patent application Larson's signature reads, "Walfrid Larson, Blacksmith."
