Description:
The adjusting ring has interrupted threads, so that a part turn disengages the threads and allows for rapid adjustment.

According to Ken Cope's "American Wrench Makers 1830-1930," McKaig-Dorntge Drop Forging produced the wrench. The company's plant was destroyed by fire in Dec. 1900.
