Description:
A thumb screw clamps the inner jaws to the axle nut; the outer frame clamps to the hub by thumb screws. The crank that turns the inner jaws to tighten and loosen the axle nut slides in the outer frame.

Patent no. 644,332 is a further refinement of this design.
