Original application filed 09 Dec.,1899. Divided and this application filed 05 Apr., 1900.

Claim:

The method herein described for driving the pistons of explosive-engines which consists in mixing with a closed chamber, opening to the piston, a predetermined quantity of liquid air deprived wholly or in part of its nitrogen constituent, and a predetermined quantity of hydrocarbon or equivalent agent, antd exploding the gassy resulting from such admixture, by the application of an electric spark or otherwise.
