Description: |
Abstract:
The knives 8 of a reciprocating cutter-bar type of mowing machine are urged into contact with the fingers 12 by pads 7 each hinged to a bracket 1 secured to the cutter bar 2 and each urged downwards against a knife by a spring 9, which also serves to hold the arm raised when the arm is moved to the raised position. The spring 9 shown acts on the pad through the medium of a ball 10 which by engaging with a projection 7b of the pad holds the latter in either its raised or lowered position. |
