Description:
Although no assignee or co-inventor is listed, the patent drawing is titled, "Essery & Webster's Improved Pulley". Patent {CA14,406} constituted an extension to this patent, and was granted to Essery and to Stephen Webster of Hamilton, Ont. We don't know anything about Webster, but Essery was apparently a shoe manufacturer.

"Essery's Patent Loose Pulley" is listed in an 1882 catalog from Cant, Gourlay & Co., Galt.
