Description:
The "foot" extending through the primary jaw serves to tighten the grip of the secondary jaw. The patent drawing shows the tool used to pull tire bolts from carriage wheels.

Known example marked only with the patent date. It has an extended primary handle terminating in a flat pry bar end, and is 28 inches long over all.
