Description:
The patent is an improvement on the Steele and Henderson Oct. 22, 1867 patent no. 70,040.

The pincer jaws of a "lasting pincers" are operated by a lever handle. One jaw is connected to the lever by a leaf spring; the other jaw rides against the concave face of the lever.

The patent is noted in Abraham Dufoult's Dec. 3, 1872 Lasting Pincers patent (no. 133,521).
