| "2nd" VISE-GRIP patent and the basis from which subsequent evolution of the tool proceeded. This patent added the secondary lever handle and "over-center toggle lock" to replace the 1921 screw adjustment for the swinging jaw in patent no. 1,392,443.
Evolution of the tool during the 1930s led to the forms in subsequent patent nos. 2,201,918 and 2,280,005. |
