Description:
Jaws hinged together slide in a frame which opens them as they extend. A spring retracts and closes them.

The COOLIDGE BIT BRACE WRENCH and a larger version with a ratchet "T" handle marketed as the COOLIDGE AUTOMATIC RATCHET WRENCH were produced in the early 20th Century.
