Vintage Machinery entry for Oliver Machinery Co.
Description:
Circular cutter-head for jointers and planers. Appears to have been exclusively licensed to Oliver Machinery Co., who put it on their own machines, supplied it as an OEM part to other makers, and sold it as an after-market upgrade. This cutter-head was a big safety advance, but now considered dangerous because the head can fly apart if the bolts fail.
