Vintage Machinery entry for A. H. Pomeroy
Description:
This scrollsaw was seen in an 1884 catalog from A. H. Pomeroy of Hartford. Other machines in the catalog were made by Trump brothers, Seneca Falls Mfg. Co., W. F. & John Barnes Co., and Millers Falls Co. But Pomeroy did manufacture the House saw: an article in the 1885-03-14 Scientific American on the House patent scrollsaw concludes, "The House scroll-saw is manufactured by Mr. A. H. Pomeroy, of 216 to 220 Asylum Street, Hartford, Conn."
